We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to join our team in delivering the best possible services to DVA funding clients in the community. We are seeking nurses who are looking to increase their scope within Community Nursing and a Homecare setting, have experience working within a Community care setting and are seeking flexibility.

About You

  • Current registration with AHPRA without restrictions
  • Demonstrate a high level of understanding of the impact of sudden and progressive changes within health status of individuals
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide holistic person-centred care to clients
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working within a Community Care/Homecare setting
  • Experience working with DVA funded clients (desirable)
  • Experience with Tracheotomy care and management, PEG feeding and BiPAP Machines
  • Experience working with Quadriplegics and/or Paraplegics
  • Recent National police check or willing to undertake
  • Victorian Working with Children Check or willingness to apply
  • Currently First Aid and CPR training
  • Looking for flexibility and regular ongoing shifts
  • Current Driver's License

The Role

We are currently recruiting for Nurses to work with one specific client in Bendigo, who has complex care needs. Our client is an incomplete Quadriplegic, who requires tracheotomy care and suctioning, ventilation and PEG feeding, as well as a variety of other nursing duties.

With a focus on delivering nursing care to individuals with complex needs, successful candidates will provide our clients with a combination of the following care duties, but not limited too:

  • Total Patient Care including assessments, observations and other daily nursing duties
  • Complex care Nursing
  • Tracheotomy Management and Care
  • PEG Feeding
  • Ventilation
  • Homecare setting in Central Bendigo
  • The ability to provide care on a 24 hour rotating roster
  • Knowledge of DVA funding desirable
  • Quadriplegic/Paraplegic experience
  • Ability to be flexible with working hours (3-10 hour shifts available, including mornings, afternoons and night active night duties)
