Our client, Polestar, a leader in innovation and sustainability in the luxury automotive market, is currently seeking a skilled Automotive Technician
to join their team. This exciting opportunity is based at their state-of-the-art workshop in Artarmon, located on Sydney's Lower North Shore.
In this role, you’ll work with cutting-edge automotive technology, with a strong focus on electric vehicles (EVs)
—both current models and those soon to be launched. You’ll play a vital part in delivering the high standards Polestar is known for, ensuring every vehicle is prepared and maintained to perfection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure vehicles meet manufacturer standards before handover to customers
- Use diagnostic tools and software to verify vehicle functionality and identify any potential issues
- Complete routine checks, system calibrations, and minor mechanical adjustments as required
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or electrical concerns prior to vehicle delivery
- Perform Pre-Owned Vehicle maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Work closely with Polestar Technical Operations Team with any diagnosis and repairs
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards
- Participate in ongoing training on the latest automotive technologies
- Qualified Automotive Technician (Certificate III or equivalent)
- Experience in a dealership, OEM, or reputable service environment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with electric vehicles (EVs) is highly regarded
- Current and valid Australian driver’s licence
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Must have the right to work in Australia (Australian citizen or Permanent Resident preferred)
