Client Services Officer – Scientific Services | Sydney

Location: North Ryde - New South Wales

WorkType: Contractor

Salary:

Are you a science graduate with a passion for helping people and making complex information clear and accessible?  We’re looking for a Client Services Officer with a strong client focus, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a busy, technical environment. This full time role is part of a highly collaborative Client Services and Business Development team and plays a key part in ensuring seamless communication between laboratory operations and a diverse external client base. You’ll be answering enquiries, preparing quotations, liaising with technical staff, and supporting a team that values inclusion, adaptability, and clear communication. This is a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working with people as much as working with data—and who doesn’t get flustered when things get busy.

Other Functions:

  • Responding to client enquiries (phone/email) of varying complexity with professionalism and clarity;
  • Preparing quotes for scientific testing services, ensuring accuracy and efficiency;
  • Supporting communication between laboratory staff and external clients on topics such as sampling, storage, documentation, and regulatory requirements;
  • Monitoring shared inboxes and managing your time across multiple priorities;
  • Acting as the key contact for a set of regular clients, ensuring positive ongoing relationships;
  • Supporting a client-centric culture across two sites.
Essential Requirements:
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and able to pass a Baseline Security Clearance;
  • A tertiary qualification in a science-related field;
  • Experience in client service or stakeholder-facing roles (experience in a lab or scientific setting is a plus);
  • Clear, confident communication, a proactive and helpful approach, and enjoys problem solving;
  • Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure in a high-workload environment;
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail;
  • Solid capability on MS Office suite - familiarity with LIMS is a bonus;
  • A collaborative, respectful and inclusive mindset, aligned with safety-first thinking.
If this sounds like your next move, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now to join a dedicated team making a difference through science and service.  All Applications to include Cover Letter and Resume in MS Word format.
