Bayside Group, together with our affiliate brand Acclaimed Workforce, is a well-established provider of specialist recruitment and workforce management solutions across Australia. With over 50 years of success, we support diverse industries through high-quality professional and semi-skilled recruitment services.
Why consider this role?
- Career Growth: Be part of a collaborative, values-led organisation with over 50 years of success and a future-focused strategy.
- Make a Real Impact: Apply your practical workplace relations experience to help businesses navigate complex issues, build culture, and stay compliant.
- Variety Every Day: Work across internal operations and external clients on matters ranging from Award interpretation to performance management.
- No Need to Be Senior: We're looking for someone with hands-on experience, not necessarily years of seniority. You'll grow into the role with support from experienced leaders.
- Career Pathway: Join a collaborative, values-driven organisation with a clear strategy for the future.
- Strategic Exposure: Use your advisory skills to support business growth and shape our workplace relations services.
As a Workplace Relations Advisor, you'll provide clear, commercially sound guidance to internal teams and clients. This is a role where your practical experience counts, whether it's interpreting Modern Awards, conducting workplace investigations to providing sound advice to business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice on Australian workplace laws, Modern Awards, and employee relations matters.
- Support or lead workplace investigations (grievances, performance issues, misconduct).
- Deliver tailored training and briefings on compliance, and cultural best practice.
- Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and compliance documentation.
- Interpret and apply legislative changes to ensure timely updates and advice.
- Partner with recruitment and labour hire teams to align client-specific workforce strategies.
- Build strong client relationships by being responsive, reliable, and insightful.
We’re looking for someone who’s confident, practical, and people-focused. You’ve been in the thick of workplace matters and enjoy being a trusted advisor—not just a policy writer.
You might be:
- A workplace relations advisor with practical, on-the-ground experience.
- A paralegal, consultant, or compliance officer ready to move into a more collaborative and consultative role.
- Solid understanding of employment law and Fair Work processes.
- Experience interpreting Awards and navigating workplace issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex advice clearly.
- A pragmatic, outcome-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Workplace Relations Advisor (Hands-On Experience Required, Not Seniority)
- Understanding of Australian workplace laws, modern awards, and Fair Work processes.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Industrial Relations, Employment Law, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong investigative and analytical capabilities.
