Executive Recruitment Process
1. Job Brief
Our executive consultants undertake a comprehensive brief, meeting with multiple stakeholders where appropriate to understand the direction of the organisation, the requirements of the role and the team they will be leading. We discuss the position, structure and timelines, identifying critical and non-critical competencies, preferred leadership style and motivators, to assist the development of an Executive Profile, in which to assess candidates against. It is at this point that the client will approve their tailored recruitment process.
2. Executive Search & Engagement
Our executive team is always developing candidates and identifying specific candidates within our networks for future client needs. Once we have a brief, we undertake an intensive executive search of our existing network, as well as researching and profiling new talent and gathering feedback.
Our executive recruiters are highly experienced at professionally approaching candidates, discussing the attributes of the role and employer in relation to their career goals and aspirations, and utilising behavioural interview techniques. Where necessary, our experienced marketing team works with consultants to design recruitment campaigns. Throughout this process, we keep the client and candidates informed and engaged in the process.
3. Presentation & Client Interview
Where possible, our executive recruiters present shortlisted candidates in person, providing a comprehensive report, weighting each candidate against the Executive Profile and addressing salary expectations. We arrange all aspects of the client interview, preparing the shortlisted candidates for interview. Please note that some elements of the verification stage may be conducted prior to this interview.
4. Verification
Bayside Group use a range of verification techniques, which may include work rights and qualification checks, psychometric assessments, police checks and working with children/vulnerable persons checks, and medical assessments. Some of our clients prefer to use their own medical assessment and psychometric evaluation providers, which we can facilitate. Otherwise, we will utilise our own providers and can provide example reports of our executive assessment suite.
Reference checks are a critical part of our verification process, which our executive recruiters are highly skilled at conducting. To gain a better understanding of the candidate, we may reference multiple people from an organisation where the candidate has held key roles, subject to candidate agreement.
5. Placement
Our executive recruiters will provide support during the salary negotiation, offer and acceptance phase, continuing to engage with both the client and candidate to ensure a smooth transition.
