A well-established and growing bookkeeping and accounting support firm based in Docklands is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team.

The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Bookkeeper will manage a portfolio of clients and oversee their bookkeeping and account administration needs. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
Work arrangement: Hybrid – work from home on Mondays, and in the office Tuesday to Friday.
Key duties:
- Handle client bookkeeping, BAS/IAS, and end-of-year reporting
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations
- Oversee bank accounts, cash flow, and company liabilities
- Prepare financial reports and liaise with accountants/government bodies
- Build and maintain client relationships, handling queries and support
- Perform general administration and office tasks
- Strong, hands-on experience in bookkeeping
- Advanced knowledge of Xero
- Solid understanding of ATO and IRD GST requirements
- Strong knowledge of deductible and non-deductible business expenses
- Confident preparing and interpreting financial reports
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client portfolios
