About the Opportunity

We are partnering with our client, a large national organisation delivering a major upgrade program across a wide network of field sites. This work supports critical services and requires high standards of accuracy, traceability and documented quality.

This is a rare chance to step into a hands-on metrology and instrumentation role where your work has real-world impact.

You’ll join a standards-focused team environment, working on high volumes of instruments and helping ensure equipment is fit-for-purpose before deployment.

This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys practical calibration work, values process and documentation, and is comfortable balancing precision with delivery timeframes.

About the Role

You will support a large-scale instrumentation program through calibration, testing, verification and technical support within a standards and metrology laboratory environment.

  • Calibrate, test and verify electronic and mechanical instrumentation
  • Support acceptance testing and maintenance aligned to rollout schedules
  • Apply traceability, uncertainty and measurement standards in day-to-day work
  • Analyse data, investigate issues, and report technical findings clearly
  • Maintain procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation
  • Contribute to quality management and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Practical calibration experience in a lab or standards environment
  • Strong understanding of traceability and measurement uncertainty
  • Experience with instrumentation (electronic, mechanical, environmental preferred)
  • Confidence managing high volumes of equipment with accuracy
  • Strong documentation skills and exposure to ISO 17025 (highly regarded)

What’s on Offer

  • Long-term contract within a stable, high-impact program
  • Docklands location with a strong technical team environment
  • Hands-on metrology and instrumentation work (not desk-only)
  • Exposure to quality systems, testing, and technical investigations
  • Work that directly supports a major national infrastructure upgrade
