Our client is a reputable and fast-growing Structural Design & Forensic Engineering consultancy, now seeking a motivated Forensic Engineer to join their expanding Sydney team. This role suits both mid-level and senior Engineers who have strong experience across residential and/or commercial buildings and an interest in forensic or remedial engineering.
You’ll be involved in hands-on investigations, detailed structural analysis, and the preparation of high-quality technical reports. Working as part of a specialised forensic team, you’ll contribute to diverse projects across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings—providing insights into structural behaviour, damage causation, and practical remedial solutions.

- Conduct site inspections to assess structural damage, defects, and performance issues.
- Undertake forensic investigations of structural failures, building movement, and material degradation.
- Perform structural analysis and contribute to the development of remedial or repair solutions.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive, and technically sound reports for clients, insurers, and legal stakeholders.
- Liaise professionally with clients, builders, insurers, and project partners.
- Manage workload effectively across multiple active projects and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (required).
- Strong local experience in structural engineering—ideally across residential and commercial projects.
- Experience in residential design, forensic engineering, or remedial/diagnostic investigations highly regarded.
- Excellent written communication skills, with experience preparing technical reports.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for site work.
