This is an excellent opportunity for a Principal Engineer or Associate Director who is ready to step into a broader team leadership and General Manager position. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering and technical teams delivering urban development and subdivision projects
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring time, cost, quality, and safety targets are met
- Drive commercial performance including budgeting, forecasting, WIP management, and financial reporting
- Approve and support fee proposals, contract negotiation, and client engagement strategies
- Provide technical leadership across planning, design coordination, and project execution
- Ensure effective resource planning and utilisation across project teams
- Monitor project schedules and proactively manage delivery risks and scope changes
- Foster strong relationships with councils, developers, contractors, and key clients
- Lead business development activities and support growth of the urban development portfolio
- Mentor and develop senior and emerging leaders within the business
- Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and best practice delivery standards
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Well established experience in urban development / land development engineering within SEQ (essential)
- Background in Civil Engineering, surveying, or town planning with development environments
- Proven leadership experience in a management role (10+ years preferred)
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project financial and business performance
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive performance, while maintaining culture
- Strong client relationship management and business development capability
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to operate in a delivery focused consulting environment
- Professional memberships highly regarded
