Two opportunities are available for experienced Highway Engineers to join a highly regarded, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong pipeline of transport infrastructure work across South East Queensland. Interstate applicants will be considered.
We are looking for engineers with approximately 5–12 years' experience in highway and road design who are keen to work on quality local projects within an established and technically strong transport team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a consultancy with a strong reputation in the infrastructure sector and work alongside experienced transport and civil engineering professionals. You will contribute to the delivery of highway and road infrastructure projects across South East Queensland, with involvement across concept, design development and detailed design.
The Roles
Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:
- Highway and road geometric design
- Detailed design and documentation of road infrastructure
- Horizontal and vertical alignment design
- Intersection and corridor design
- Preparation and review of technical documentation
- Applying relevant Australian standards and authority requirements
- Working closely with civil, transport and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders and other project disciplines
- Supporting project delivery and quality assurance
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers where appropriate
We are interested in hearing from Highway Engineers who have:
- Intermediate to high professional experience in highway or road design
- Strong Australian consulting experience
- Solid technical capability across highway and transport infrastructure
- A sound understanding of Australian road design standards and practices
- Experience with relevant highway design software
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative and practical approach to project delivery
- A relevant Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
