This team plays a key role in identifying and profiling illicit drugs, contributing to intelligence reports that support law enforcement in disrupting drug trafficking operations.
Duties Include:
- Assisting with cocaine and methamphetamine profiling, including weighing samples and supporting profiling chemists.
- Preparing samples for QNMR, GC-IRMS, and EA-IRMS analysis using advanced instrumentation and robotic platforms.
- Weighing IRMS standards for EA-IRMS analysis.
- Archiving legal paper records and supporting the Quality System.
- Performing data entry and assisting the Quality Officer with various tasks.
- Registering samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Previous experience in an analytical or chemistry laboratory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of laboratory Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
Security Clearance:
This role requires a Baseline Security Clearance. The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain this clearance.
