Mechanical Design Engineer - North West Sydney

Our client is a world leader in the manufacturing of chemicals and scientific products. They employ thousands of people in R&D facilities across the globe and are committed to developing innovations that will make a difference to our world. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer Engineer for a long-term casual role to work with their sales and projects team at their manufacturing facility based in North West Sydney.

Duties include:
  • Developing mechanical equipment designs using Autodesk applications
  • Supervision of small projects.
  • Procurement of project materials.
  • Assisting project cost development.
  • Minor trouble shooting & equipment improvement tasks.
  • Assistance in equipment and design safety reviews.
  • Assistance in commissioning of equipment. A strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Ideally you will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience using Autodesk suite: AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault (desirable), Inventor Stress Analysis / Nastran (desirable)
  • The ability to work under minimal supervision and be self-driven.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
