Our client is a global Renewable Energy leader, manufacturer of oil and lubricants for the automotive and industrial applications industries.
A rare opportunity has arisen for a PLANT PIPING INSPECTOR to join the team based at the Perth Kwinana site – We are seeking a diligent Plant (Piping) Inspector to safeguard the integrity and reliability of hydrocarbon pressure piping systems.
In this role, you will conduct API-570 piping integrity inspections, develop pragmatic inspection and NDT scopes, evaluate NDT results, and produce clear, actionable integrity reports — including recommendations and appropriate endorsement intervals.
Your work will help ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations across the facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform API 570 piping integrity inspections for hydrocarbon pressure piping systems to assess condition, risk, and compliance
- Develop practical Inspection and NDT scopes tailored to asset condition and inspection priorities
- Review and interpret NDT results to validate findings and identify required follow up actions
- Produce concise Integrity Reports that include recommendations and endorsement intervals that support safe, timely decision making
- Communicate inspection outcomes and recommendations to relevant stakeholders to ensure understanding and execution (aligned to the reporting requirement above)
- Provide advice on relevant methods, techniques and practices for repairs, rehabilitation, and maintenance of equipment
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling processes, including preventive and corrective maintenance
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (such as Maximo, ERP, Primavera, etc.) to plan, schedule, track and analyse maintenance activities
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI or other analytical platforms to interpret maintenance data and produce reports
- Experience in developing, tracking, and presenting key performance indicators (KPIs) across maintenance portfolio
- Experience with integrated planning processes and Long- and Short-Range Integration Schedule Processes
- Strong in budgeting, cost control and resource allocation for maintenance activities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory compliance and HSE requirements related to maintenance and project planning and scheduling
- Ability to analyse maintenance data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement
- Inspection & reporting discipline: able to structure findings into clear, decision ready integrity reports consistent with API 570 practice
- Sound knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, metallurgy, fabrication, construction, and maintenance principles/practices
- Stakeholder communication: communicates findings, recommendations, and endorsement intervals succinctly to maintenance, operations, and integrity teams (supports the reporting mandate)
- Safety focus and professional judgment prioritize safety, compliance, and asset integrity in all inspection planning and recommendations.
- AICIP and/or relevant API (API 570) certification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience as a certified inspector in an operating facility
- Medical check is required for candidate to onboard in Kwinana site
