As the Process Engineer for the site, you will be accountable for process engineering / continuous improvement function for the site. This role reviews site needs / KPI’s to develop initiatives to close gaps and drive improvement. This role is the implementation champion and also ensures ongoing maintenance of these improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Using material knowledge to plan and execute successful raw material substitutions, including coordination of subsequent testing of new product introduction or existing product modification trials on all site manufacturing equipment.
- Manage and implement projects and process improvements across the site, such as general improvements, machinery up-grades and commissioning, process development / refinement, development and training of SOCs & SOPs. This extends to writing the training materials and delivering successful and engaging training.
- Provide customer technical support for new / modified product introductions or product performance issues.
- Using continuous improvement methodologies in conjunction with liaison with operations deliver measurable rate and yield improvements for the site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues when operations expertise is exhausted. Work with maintenance to provide solutions and rectify production machine variances.
- 3 year Engineering or Technical degree
- Previous experience in a Process / Project engineer role is desirable
