Project Coordinator – Industrial Projects
Nanango, Queensland | Full-time
$200,000 + Super (depending on experience)

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to lead the delivery of industrial projects across multiple sites while supporting the development of future project opportunities.
This new and critical senior role oversees a diverse portfolio of work — from major installation and shutdown campaigns to smaller, bespoke industrial installs — with crews ranging from 5 to 30 personnel per work front.
This is a high-profile, strategic position. While not hands-on, it requires a deep understanding of industrial project execution, gained through project management experience and/or strong operational background.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple industrial projects across concurrent sites
  • Provide leadership and direction to multiple site supervisors and operational teams, building trust through practical industry experience
  • Act as the face of the company, liaising with clients, subcontractors, internal teams, and key stakeholders
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and support site leadership while maintaining strategic oversight
  • Develop, maintain, and report on detailed project schedules, budgets, and progress using MS Project
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and resolving issues proactively
  • Support project scoping, tendering, and forward planning to secure future work and maintain operational continuity
  • Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and operational standards, proactively identifying and mitigating risk
  • Provide strategic input to senior leadership on project performance, resourcing, pipeline planning, and future opportunities
About You
  • Extensive experience in project coordination or management within industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of large-scale industrial projects, including shutdowns and complex installs
  • Prior operational exposure to craneage, rigging, structural steel, or similar heavy industry works is highly regarded
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proficient in MS Project for complex scheduling and reporting
  • Honest, trustworthy, and able to quickly earn the confidence of site teams, clients, and stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker, capable of balancing day-to-day delivery with long-term planning and growth opportunities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across clients, supervisors, and senior leadership
Candidates without relevant industrial project experience are unlikely to be suited to this role. Applicants must hold current work rights in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid visa). To express interest, or have a confidential discussion please contact Michelle Murphy via mmurphy@baysidegroup.com.au or 0418 205 682. Only those with relevant experience will be contacted.
