Join one of Victoria’s leading asset owners and contribute to the delivery of major capital projects for port-related civil and marine infrastructure to help shape Victoria’s economic future. We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee one or more multi-disciplinary projects, valued between $5M - $100M+.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this autonomous and highly influential role, you will manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality, environmental and safety standards. You will also lead and mentor project engineers, contractors and consultants fostering collaboration and driving excellence across all project stages.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- End-to-end Project Management, from inception to completion, within budget, meeting quality standards and in a sustainable manner.
- Lead contract/ commercial negotiations with design and construction teams, as part of the contract execution process.
- Scope, plan, schedule and manage projects to ensure all stages, including project evaluation, estimation, board approvals, implementation, commercial negotiations, contract administration, site supervision and cost control are effectively executed.
- Safety leadership through setting and managing safety expectations internally and externally ensuring a zero-harm culture.
- Proven experience delivering multi-disciplined capital projects.
- Extensive engineering project management, with a track record of successful resource coordination.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts for both procurement and provision of engineering and construction services.
- Exceptional interpersonal skill for effective communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and management.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent is essential
- Ability to multi-task within a site-based client-side project environment
