Our client is a large government organisation operating within a complex and highly regulated technical environment. With a strong focus on safety, engineering excellence and the reliable delivery of critical infrastructure, they undertake a diverse range of technical, operational and project-based activities. Based at their research facility in Southern Sydney, they are undertaking a range of capital works and maintenance projects and are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead HVAC, mechanical building services and laboratory upgrade projects.
Duties include:
- Managing HVAC, mechanical building services and laboratory upgrade projects from conception through to completion.
- Initiating projects and consulting with clients, stakeholders and management to establish project requirements.
- Developing detailed project plans, schedules and delivery strategies.
- Managing project costs, schedules, risks, contracts and project issues.
- Managing procurement activities, contractors, design consultants and commissioning processes.
- Providing clear written and verbal reports and presentations to key stakeholders.
- Managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring customers are kept informed of project progress.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with safety, regulatory and security requirements.
To be successful, you will have:
- Australian Citizenship - Essential.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
- Recent experience managing HVAC, mechanical building services or related engineering projects.
- Experience delivering projects within complex technical, industrial, laboratory or regulated environments.
- Experience managing procurement contracts, design consultants and commissioning activities.
- Demonstrated experience managing safety, regulatory and security requirements on major projects.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.
