Our client is a well-established global manufacturer of specialist materials, supplying high-performance industrial products to customers across varied industries.  To further support their Chinese operations, they are seeking a recent graduate or early-career R&D Chemist with expertise in both written and spoken English and Chinese to join their technical team on the NSW central coast.

The Role:
Reporting to the Technical Director, you will play a key role in supporting laboratory operations and contributing to the development and improvement of products used in industrial applications.  You will be involved in:
  • Conducting laboratory experiments and product testing
  • Assisting with the development of new formulations and processes
  • Quality testing of raw materials and finished products
  • Preparing technical reports and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assisting with customer trials and technical enquiries
  • Ensuring all work is conducted safely and in compliance with EH&S standards.
Critical Requirements:    
  • A degree in Chemistry or related science
  • Expertise in both written and spoken English and Chinese 
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing laboratory (1-2 years in a similar role is highly desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and high-level analytical thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with stakeholder liaison capability
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • A proactive, curious mindset and willingness to learn
