About the Role
We’re seeking a Service and Production Manager to lead and develop a team of skilled workshop technicians, including mechanics, welders and fitter fabricators. You will oversee the day-to-day running of services and production operations, ensuring your team delivers high-quality workmanship, efficient turnaround times, and safe practices. You’ll work closely with other departments, including Engineering, Logistics, Technical Support, Warehouse and Customer Service to ensure seamless workflows and exceptional customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of workshop technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
- Oversee day-to-day service and production operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery of work.
- Implement and maintain safe work practices, compliance standards, and proactive hazard management.
- Collaborate across departments to streamline processes, solve problems, and improve overall productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as LEAN methodologies to boost operational performance.
- Act as a point of escalation for technical and operational challenges, ensuring swift resolution.
- Report on team performance, workshop KPIs, and progress against business objectives.
- Trade qualification or relevant experience in mechanical, fabrication, or industrial equipment servicing.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Leadership & Management (or similar) highly regarded.
- Previous experience leading workshop teams within industrial equipment, heavy machinery, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of workshop processes, production planning, and safety compliance.
- Proven ability to implement LEAN or continuous improvement frameworks.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service and operational excellence.
