Service Technician - Speed detection

Due to an increase in product demand and continuing growth, our client is seeking an experienced Field Technician to join their team initially on contract basis with a view to a longer term for the right candidate. This is a great opportunity to work closely with a leading provider of automated traffic enforcement solutions with multiple offices nationwide and overseas. Experience with assembly of complex electronics, field troubleshooting, and towing trailers will be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Measuring and recording, electrical parameters of sensors using spectrum analyser.
  • Troubleshooting communication issues with cameras and providing feedback to service manager.
  • Co-ordinate equipment movements and deliver equipment to testing providers
  • Road test equipment (Factory Acceptance Testing)
  • Termination of traffic sensor cables and installation of radar modules.
  • Support project work, warehouse and workshop services as required.
  • Clean and maintain work areas
  • Site inspection and preparation of observation reports
  • Comply with all company HSE policies and procedures, including external customer related works.
You will need:
  • Police check (conducted via Bayside Group)
  • Full drivers’ licence (able to drive a manual vehicle)
  • Experience towing trailers (and reversing trailers)
  • Tertiary qualification in electronics, electrical engineering, or mechatronics.
Highly Desirable:
  • TM2 & TMI2 Traffic Management certificate.
  • EWP ticket.
