They are seeking a Structural Engineer (4–7 years’ experience) to join their Brisbane-based Building Structures team and are promoting a role for someone who wants to gain exposure to larger, more complex projects while working closely with senior engineers and contributing meaningfully to project delivery.
What you’ll be doing
- Contributing to the delivery of structural design work across a diverse portfolio of building projects
- Supporting projects through concept design, detailed engineering, and construction documentation phases
- Playing an active role in project coordination across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring design intent is carried through to delivery
- Gaining exposure to a broad mix of sectors, including commercial, transport, health, defence, and multi-residential developments
- Applying structural design software such as ETABS, RAM Concept, and Microstran in day-to-day project work
- Working closely with senior engineers on technical problem-solving and project delivery decisions
- Participating in design discussions with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Building your capability while also contributing to the development of junior team members where appropriate
- 4–7 years’ experience in structural engineering within a consultancy environment
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience across Australian or New Zealand building projects
- Strong understanding of structural design principles and engineering fundamentals
- Exposure to industry-standard design tools (e.g. ETABS, RAM Concept, Microstran)
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively within project teams
- Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in client-facing or project coordination roles will be well regarded
- Progress toward RPEQ (or interest in pursuing it) will be highly valued
