Supply Chain Material Planner

A new opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Material Planner to join an International Automotive company in Melbourne's western suburbs.

Core responsibilities are to analyse customer requirements and plan for materials, goods and services required to fulfil customer requirements on time.

Key Tasks include:

  • MRP Analysis to evaluate customer requirements, supplier lead times, supplier capacities to prepare master schedule
  • MRP Analysis to evaluate shipping dates, in transit material and stock on hand to prepare critical shortage list, recommend changes as required.
  • Inventory Management and inventory classification, by using ABC analysis
  • MRP analysis to evaluate current and future demand compared to supplier past due deliveries to prepare target past due escalation reports
  • Responsibility for materials planning and management against the monthly & annual sales plan 
  • Responsible for regular upload of transit material data into MRP to ensure analysis accurate in real time.
  • Responsible for providing and managing daily/weekly, material arrival reports to assist resource planning for warehouse and plan additional warehouse capacity
  • Liaising with other departments, suppliers and freight forwarders plan and organise an end-to-end material logistics plan
  • Preparing and implementing plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost and within Target
  • Responsible for conducting regular reviews with suppliers to address critical shortages, past due orders and changes to lead-time  
Education/Experience:
  • Qualification in Business or Relevant Industry Experience
  • Qualification in Financial Analysis or Relevant Industry Experience
  • Qualification in Supply chain or Relevant Industry Experience specific to use of MRP in manufacturing industry
