Position Overview

Due to continue growth, our client requires a qualified electrical technician to carry out thermal inspections on electrical equipment. Travel is required in this role as you will be carrying out inspections around the metro Melbourne areas.

Key responsibilities:
  • Conducting thermal imaging inspections of electrical switchboards and other equipment using thermal imaging cameras
  • Compilation of reports and providing feedback/recommendations to clients about electrical faults that has been identified from the inspection
  • Compliance with all workplace health & safety regulations including completion of safe work method statements & risk assessment
Successful candidate will have the following attributes:
  • Electrical Fitter / Mechanic or equivalent license must be current
  • Proven experience conducting inspections on switchboards and switchboard components
  • Thermography Level 1 or 2 (highly regarded, but not essential)
  • Have a current working with Children’s Check/ able to apply for one
  • Full Australian Drivers license
  • Able to work autonomously in a safe manner
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong internal and external communication skills
